One of the things I appreciate most about Colorado Inside Out is that we have the time to devote to discussing important happenings and issues in our state. Every week, our panel comes to the table with different perspectives that offer context to the stories that surround us in our communities.

After the antisemitic attack on Boulder’s Pearl Street last Sunday, there’s a lot to talk about—and to listen to—as the city and the Jewish community heal.

May 2, 2025 Edition

Last weekend while I was back in Maryland, a friend of my mothers, who used to bring her family out here to ski, said to me, “I’m not hearing good things about Colorado lately.” And then, she changed the subject, went on to something else, and I didn’t get to respond. Since then, I’ve read reports on homelessness in Colorado, executive orders targeting Colorado and the 15th lawsuit against the administration, another ICE raid… and stories that capture the tension of the final days of the legislative session. So, I was very eager to get some of Colorado’s brightest together for this week’s Colorado Inside out to talk about what’s happening in our state – the lows and some highs!

April 25, 2025 Edition

This week started on a somber note with the death of Pope Francis.Governor Jared Polis lowered all flags to half-staff in Colorado, which is home to an estimated 830,000 Catholics, including me. The day before, on Easter Sunday, Pope Francis said, “I would like all of us to hope anew, and to revive our trust in others, including those who are different than ourselves.” To relate that to Colorado Inside Out’s mission, every week we bring together various perspectives with our Insider panel with the idea being the more we know where each other is coming from, the more of a path we have to being more connected. With connection, there’s the ability to build trust. So that’s why we do what we do.
