Description:
Reporting to the Vice President of Content & Community Partnerships, the Director of Content and Programming is responsible for developing and managing a slate of original programming, acquiring programming from third parties, and developing and maintaining relationships with key talent and producers. Incumbents are expected to support fund generating activities through the following means: scheduling programming to advance membership campaigns, identifying grants and other funding opportunities and on-air support to assist the Development, Membership and Underwriting departments. The Director of Content & Programming will also be responsible for managing the station’s programming budget as well as managing production and programming staff.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 7 years of content production, television or agency experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. The candidate will have a deep understanding of the network’s brand and target audience, and a track record of developing and executing successful programming strategies. The candidate will also have strong relationships with the creative community.
