Event Details

Separately GG Johnston and Gregor Owens (Lowry residents and mother/son) think differently; but together, they navigate the same path, advocating for each other. Their differences make them a strong, loving and sometimes feisty team. What to do when your 2E (twice-exceptional) kid doesn’t fit into the boxes schools want them to? Become a Mama Bear. GG will talk about her BEAR rules while Gregor will teach us why schools need to evolve. Together, from the parent and student perspective, they will show us how.

GG Johnston is a leadership development and organizational health expert who utilizes those skills to advocate for her son, Gregor, on his journey as a teenager and young adult with learning differences and a unique way of seeing the world. Gregor is learning to be a champion for himself on his educational journey.

Join us for a discussion with this remarkable Lowry family on Tuesday, February 8, from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the historic Eisenhower Chapel, 293 Roslyn Street, Denver 80230.

This event is free and open to the public but reservations are suggested (go here: https://lowryfoundation.org/events/). Face masks are required. We will also stream the event live (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81392686109).
