Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art presents Josef Hoffmann’s Vienna Jan. 21 through April 3, 2022, offering visitors the chance to travel to early 1900s Austria to revel in the influence of Josef Hoffmann (1870–1956) in the Vienna Secessionist movement and subsequent Wiener Werkstätte (Vienna Workshops). Architect and designer Josef Hoffmann (1870–1956) was integral to the advancement of modern art, design and architecture in Vienna during the early 1900s through his role in the Vienna Secession and as a founder of the subsequent Wiener Werkstätte artist cooperative. Hoffmann served on the editorial board of the Secessionist Ver Sacrum magazine during its first year.
