Kim Robards Dance celebrates Denver Arts Week with “Fragile Spaces” performing new works and audience favorites that inspire and eloquently address the human experience through movement
The evening features two premieres: “Reset” in three movements including a coy duet and sections presented by the full ensemble which brings to the forefront the similarities amongst dance, play, and fitness, as well as our ability to persevere; and “Still We Move Forward” which is Ms. Robards’ response to the COVID pandemic.
Also on the program is Ms. Robards’ powerful and poignant “Aurora”, a reflection on the 2012 theater tragedy. Also featured is Ms. Robards’ potent “Threshing Floor” intertwining spirituality with physicality; her work “Gallery” which blurs the lines between art, life, and current events.
The Denver Post has written of Ms. Robards’ works over the years, “The show as a whole is a breathless piece that acts as both reflection and interpretation.”
