He was ordained as a Rabbinic Pastor by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, is Adjunct Faculty in the Religion Department of LaSalle University, and works as a psychotherapist and spiritual director in Philadelphia. A Fellow of the Rabbis Without Borders Network, he has written extensively on death and afterlife and is author of numerous books on death and Judaism, including the groundbreaking Jewish Views of the Afterlife.
