Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling, HONK! follows the story of Ugly, a unique kind of fowl who discovers that being different isn’t bad, it’s just…different.
Phamaly Theatre Company’s mission is to be a creative home for theatre artists with disabilities; to model a disability-affirmative theatrical process; and to upend conventional narratives by transforming individuals, audiences, and the world. HONK! is an all-ages show produced by Phamaly Theatre Company in collaboration with Japan’s Cue Arts. HONK! will feature two guest performers with disabilities from Japan, Ken Kanokozawa and Hiroko “Koji” Higashino.
Performances begin January 9, 2020 and run through January 26, 2020. There will be a sensory-friendly performance on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
Tickets for Adults are $25 – $30; Tickets for Children are $20.
