Christian Danson, an emerging local mixed-medium artist, is presenting her second exhibition in the Denver area this Friday evening, November 15th, from 6:30-9:30PM. The free pop-up art show is entitled “Color Is…”, and will feature work from fellow local artists, including Andrew Perkins; who also participated in Ms. Danson’s First Friday Gallery Walk show in February of this year, My Mixed Experience. This exploratory art event will be held at The Riveter Denver, a River North (RiNo) collaborative space focused on promoting diversity, equity and inclusion for women; located at 2734 Walnut Street.
Ms. Danson describes her sophomore show as one that “delves into the world of color: how we perceive it, how it moves us and what it means in our lives.” She also desires to visually inspire the show’s attendees. As she shares: “We have a vibrant world filled with colorful places and people, and our lives are richer for it. In this show, we are playing with light, sound and sight in ways that are guaranteed to alter our view of this phenomenal aspect of our world, that so many of us take for granted.”
The event is being sponsored by A Leg UP NPO Inc., a local 501c3 organization committed to economically empowering marginalized people through microlending, coaching and community support. For more information, call 720-229-4800 or visit www.alegup4all.org.
