Convergence features artwork generously on loan from the collections of members of Friends of Native Arts. Formerly the Douglas Society, Friends of Native Arts is a support group for the Native Arts Department of the Denver Art Museum. The organization sponsors educational programs for the benefit of its members and promotes the appreciation and enjoyment of African, Oceanic, and American Indian arts. Works on exhibit represent bead-work, paintings, pottery, hand-carved sculpture, textiles, and mixed media.
