Creative Nations in collaboration with The Dairy Arts Center and Deadroom Comedy present their 2022 Kickoff of another Native American Comedy Showcase!

Josh Emerson has curated yet another stellar lineup of Native American Comics representing various tribal nations across North America! Josh will be hosting Evan Johnson, Damon Howard, Thad Bejadhar, and headliner Brian Bahe.

Brian Bahe is an Indigenous (enrolled member of the Tohono O’odham Nation, and a member of the Hopi and Navajo Nation), gay (vers bottom) comedian, writer, and turquoise jewelry model originally from Phoenix, Arizona, now based in New York City.

He’s taped a standup set for Comedy Central Digital which will be released later this year. His writing has appeared in McSweeney’s. He has been featured in NPR, Vulture, and The Los Angeles Times. He was one of IllumiNative’s “25 Native American Comedians to Follow in 2020.” He was profiled in the book We Had a Little Real Estate Problem: The Unheralded Story of Native Americans & Comedy by Kliph Nesteroff.

He hosts the Brooklyn-based monthly standup show “Star Fuckers: Astrology but Make It Comedy” at Union Hall. He’s performed in comedy festivals across the country including San Francisco Sketchfest, (somehow) the Women in Comedy Festival Presented by HBO in Boston, and many others. He regularly performs at venues in New York (and elsewhere) such as The Bell House, Littlefield, Standup Up NY, and Punch Line Philly.
