Join the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado for “Cross-Currents,” a delightful evening of rousing music and engaging stories, sailing on melodies from Latin America to Europe. Performances on Nov. 11 and 13 feature a Vivaldi concerto, Murcia’s guitars and more.

Audiences will hear the Colorado premiere of a piece by highly regarded Black composer Jonathan Woody, inspired by the work and amazing journey of Ignataius Sancho, an 18th century Black British composer born on a slave ship.
New interpretations continue with musical treasures from Latin America, rediscovered, curated and arranged by Bolivian violinist and scholar Karin Cuéllar Rendón. The performance on Nov. 13 is co-presented by the Lakewood Cultural Center as part of the LCC Presents series, which is committed to showcasing a unique mix of internationally acclaimed performers. Tickets, available for theater seating or livestreaming, start at $22 and can also be purchased by calling the box office at 303-987-7845. The theater is fitted with an induction loop system for use by people who would like to use an assistive listening system to enjoy the performance.
