This evening will begin with a presentation by MAVEN educator ambassador, Carol Kendall. The NASA Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) mission is currently exploring the upper atmosphere of Mars. Kendall will discuss and show images of Mars and share mission results which give insight into the history of Mars’ atmosphere and climate.

Join us for an exciting night of stars, planets, solar systems and s’mores. We’ll begin with a presentation by our very own retired astronomy professor, Win Pendleton. Pendleton will spend time discussing our amazing universe and the mesmerizing objects that exist in it. He will be showing images of the stars, planets and features that make our solar system so unique. Then we will venture outside for a campfire, s’mores and a chance to look at the planets and other objects through the telescope.
